Van Nguyen is a college student from San Jose State University, majoring in Digital Media Art, focusing in Motion Graphics and Video Arts. Currently, she is an Art and Design Director of CADRE Student Organization, a committee member of CADRE Mentorship, and working part-time as an Assistant Manager at Teahee Tea Shop in San Jose, CA. She strives to gain experiences and reach her long term goal by engaging in digital marketing works such as creating social media campaigns with promotional designs and contents for her school and work communities. Van also continuously researches, experiments, and practices her skills by taking advanced online classes on the internet, working on her personal projects, as well as collaborating with many ambitious and diverse individuals.
As a side hobby, she is an ameteur illustrator and animator with over 12 collaborative works on Youtube, creating Japanese Vocaloid/ Utaite inspired lyrical music videos (Youtaite community), as well as other motion graphic projects. She appreciates the beauty of storytelling in audio and visual, and is strongly inspired by the art of multidisciplinary collaboration among artists of different fields. She also loves recording and making family traveling videos. Additionally, she is really interested in Internet Pop Cultures about fashion, music, movies, and social media (for example Anime, Kpop, Pop, Hiphop and Rap music, Tiktok trends, etc.). In her free time, she enjoys photography, going on hikes or walks with her friends and family, reading, playing guitar, and singing.
