Throwback Memories

"Throwback Memories" by Van Nguyen is an interactive website project that is inspired by the handmade scrapbook aesthetic, with the theme of "Memory/ Documentary". Using the website as a canvas, she created a Digital Collage about her recent trip to LA in the beginning of December, 2021. With polaroid images, digital photos as well as videos, Van wishes to keep these happy memories forever on the internet, just like how she would do on her scrapbook, but in a more engaging way. Here, she explores how to combine illustrations, animations, sounds and codes together. This website is made with HTML, CSS, and JS libraries which are JQuery and Lottie. All animated illustrations are created in After Effect and exported into .JSON files, and then added in the code. Viewers can interact with the website by scrolling, clicking and hovering.
